Raro ricevitore per onde lunghe e medie COLLINS R-389/URR
Salve a tutti amici da IZ1FID, questo è il mio ricevitore COLLINS R-389/URR S/N 148. Lo comperai molti anni fa da Don Reaves W5OR poi lo feci revisionare da Rick Mish della MILTRONIX che, infine, me lo spedì in Italia. E’ un ricevitore piuttosto raro (credo ne siano stati prodotti circa un migliaio) ed ha la particolarità di avere la sintonia motorizzata che è necessaria in quanto nel range 15 kHz-500 kHz un giro di manopola corrisponde solo a 2.5 kHz, mentre nel range superiore 500 kHz-1.5 MHz un giro di manopola corrisponde solo a 5 kHz.

Hi all friends here is IZ1FID and this is my COLLINS R-389/URR S/N 148 receiver. I bought it many years ago from Don Reaves W5OR then I had it rebuilt by Rick Mish of MILTRONIX that, finally, me sent it to me in Italy. It is a rather rare receiver (I believe about a thousand have been produced) and has the particularity of having the motorized tuning that is necessary since in the 15 kHz-500 kHz range one turn of the knob corresponds only to 2.5 kHz, while in the range 500 kHz – 1.5 MHz one turn of the knob corresponds only to 5 kHz.
